Hushbee is a Mac app that finds sensitive data in screenshots, images and PDFs and redacts it. It works offline, so your files stay on your computer.
The app looks for dozens of data types, from passport numbers to faces and licence plates. We gave Hushbee a mascot and a wordmark, then animated both for its website.
We made the bee round and glossy, with black and yellow stripes and pale blue wings. In one pose it holds a magnifying glass up to its eye and peers through it, searching an image the way the app searches your files. We drew other poses for the site, including a blink and a pair of jewelled sunglasses.
Hushbee finds and redacts sensitive data in screenshots, images and PDFs, entirely on your Mac.
