Freija is a private 100-acre sanctuary in Kinghurst Forest, in Grey County, Ontario. Guests camp and watch birds among old-growth maple and cedar, and some book a beekeeping session or a Finnish sauna.
We designed the Freija wordmark and a series of illustrations. We also made a set of postcards.
We drew nine scenes from life at Freija, each in a loose, flat style. A kayaker paddles toward the dock as a fish jumps, and a hiker with poles crosses a snowy forest. Other drawings show a beehive among tulips and a tent under shooting stars. Together the scenes cover summer and winter at Freija.
